After more than 25 years, AcuGraph is going through a major transition. AcuGraph 5 will be retired in 2027. We want to be upfront about what's happening, why it became necessary, and exactly what to expect — so you're not caught off guard.
After 25+ years of serving thousands of practitioners, we made the decision to completely reimagine AcuGraph. Here's the story of why we did it, what we overcame, and how it benefits you and your practice.
AcuGraph 5 served practitioners faithfully for over two decades, and we're genuinely proud of that. But as technology evolved, it became clear that the best thing we could do for our community was to start fresh — with a modern foundation built to last another 25 years and beyond.
Rather than keep patching an aging system, we invested heavily in a complete rebuild: new software, new hardware, new architecture. It was the harder choice, but it was the right one — and we're excited about what it means for your practice.
The original code base was built in the early 2000s — impressive for its time, but no longer able to support modern devices, iPads, or today's security standards. So we rebuilt everything from scratch in a modern development environment designed to grow with you for decades.
Healthcare security standards have come a long way in 25 years. Rather than retrofit protections onto an aging platform, we built AcuGraph CS with modern, HIPAA-compliant security at its core — so your practice and your patients are protected the right way.
Key components in the original probe were discontinued years ago. Rather than accept that limitation, we used it as an opportunity — engineering the AcuCore M1 from the ground up with wireless connectivity, pressure sensing, and accuracy that simply wasn't possible before.
This transition is our way of honoring that trust — by refusing to let the tools you rely on fall behind. We're committed to walking through this change alongside you, with support, training, and a new system we're genuinely excited to put in your hands. The best years of AcuGraph are still ahead.
